A native of Miami, Florida Debra moved to Jupiter in 2001 to enjoy a lifestyle more suitable to her character. An avid diver, motorcyclist, and lover of the outdoors, she has the best of both worlds in Jupiter being in such close proximity to the ocean on one side and to the beauty of Florida's natural areas on the other. Debra is married to her husband Robert, a wildlife photographer who has supported her artistic endeavors and has two sons, Brian and Jonathan and a crazy little dog named Tink.

Debra began her art career in 2004 with her first stained glass lesson. Her passion for glass art only grew in intensity once she discovered the world of fusing and she hasn't looked back since. She is fascinated by the technical difficulties of glass manipulation and enjoys producing functional as well as decorative works of art through her "GlassWerx". All art glass creations by Debra are one of a kind originals and her distinctive signature of combining fused elements in stained glass pieces sets her apart from other glass artists. She has participated in several local area art shows and enjoys sharing her art with others. Her dream is to open a glass art studio that would offer instruction of stained glass and glass fusing, supply of glass art related materials, and a showcase gallery for artists of all mediums.

Currently, Debra is in the beginning stages of forming the local Artist's Alliance of Jupiter with the emphasis on helping to promote other artists and their artistic endeavors as well as establishing a professional group of artists that will become recognized in the community.
